Paul Townshend, boathouse manager and coach for Trinity Hall reflects on another great weekend of racing for the Trinity Hall Boat Club.
“Another weekend, another win for the THBC Senior Women!
“This week’s challenge was the Radegund Mile (and a bit: the course is 2000m rather than a mile, but anyway….) and it was up to our Senior Women and Men’s Second Boat to uphold THBC honour.
“M2 put together a very mature and controlled race underrating (taking fewer strokes per minute than) their competition in finishing third in their category, which is very encouraging for the coming weeks.
“The Senior Women’s boat arrived off the back of a very encouraging start to the term and walked away with engraved hip flasks having won the Women’s Mays First Division category by over 30 seconds. In fact, the THBC crew were the fastest female crew for the whole day and finished in a superb 13th place overall.
Another great weekend as THBC builds towards the 2023 May Bumps. Row Hall!
