Let’s Save the World: by Hamid Varzi (1969)
This book encourages children’s awareness of climate change, but in a novel and unique manner: Instead of adults lecturing children on the environment, Nature herself addresses children DIRECTLY, for example, communicating with children through a talking tree, the sea and a honeybee. In doing so, the book places children in Nature’s shoes, so they are looking out and feeling Nature’s pain and joy, instead of merely observing the world from a distance.
