Wellbeing events this term cover a variety of areas including communal study, goal setting and social activities. We have regular, weekly events as well as one-off events throughout the term.
Weekly events
Goal-setting breakfasts: plan your week!
Every Monday from 8:15am-9:15am in the JCR (enter via JCR main entrance)
Get your week off to a good start by working out your priorities and planning your week. Free muffins, breakfast bars, and fruit juices await you in an informal and friendly atmosphere (vg/gf options also available), and before 9am lectures, labs, or office time start. Just drop-in and stay as long as you like!

Write TogeTHer (communal study and writing group)
Every Monday from 2pm-5pm in the Crescent Room (adjacent to the Aula Coffee Bar)
Tackle procrastination and get on with your work by coming along to this communal study and writing group. Whether you are revising, working on an essay, thesis, dissertation, or your next novel, you are welcome to join this supportive environment. Free snacks and hot drinks provide additional encouragement.

Social running group (starts in front of Trinity Hall!)
Every Monday from 10am-10:45am: meet at 10am in front of Trinity Hall’s Porters’ Lodge
Join the ‘Give it a go’ team and other students on this steady plod from Trinity Hall along the river over to Jesus Green and loop back again. Steady running to finish with a social after at our very own Aula Coffee Bar. Beginners welcome! Footwear: flat-soled trainers required. Students from all colleges are welcome.
Gardening (with our wonderful Gardening Team!)
Every Wednesday from 1:45pm-3pm in the Wychfield Gardens
Whether you’re helping to plant bulbs, tending the vegetable patch, mulching, raking leaves, or pruning; come along and get some fresh air, daylight and physical activity by joining our friendly Gardening Team in tending the beautiful gardens at Wychfield.
One-Off Events
Pet Plants
Wednesday, 29th January from 12pm-1pm by the Old Library (in front of the Graham Storey Room)
If you would like to adopt a pet plant for your room, just drop by and collect a plant from our friendly Gardening Team. Plants have been shown to boost our mood and improve our overall learning experience.

Life Coaching Workshop
Monday, 17th February from 5pm-6:30pm
Bridgetower Room
Life coach (Jo Thompson) will help you think about how you can get the most out of your time at Trinity Hall by learning strategies that will help you achieve your goals!
Manage Stress Workshops
Friday 28th Feb, 1:15-1:45pm Stephen Hawking Room
Monday 17th March, 4:00-4:30pm Bridgetower Room
30-minute workshops where Carol will take you through some strategies for managing stress in a helpful way.
Pets as Therapy Dogs (Trinity Hall’s very own!)
Saturday, 1st March from 1pm-3pm
Wychfield Sports Field (or Pavilion if poor weather)
Join our Wellbeing Adviser (Carol) and her two Pets as Therapy Dogs – Millie and May.
Decorate a Journal
Monday, 3rd March from 5:15pm-6:15pm
Bridgetower Room
Decorate a journal or notepad with simple hand-stitching! It’s easy and fun (no prior skills required). Materials provided (including the notepads)!
Neuroscience of Stress
Wednesday, 5th March from 5:15pm-6:15pm in the WYNG Gardens Conference Room, Thompson’s Lane
Neuroscience of Wellbeing Consultant (Bianca Armitage) explains how we can manage stress helpfully by applying practical, neuroscience-backed tools.
Sharing Hobbies and Interests: would you like to run a session or workshop?
Do you have a hobby or interest you would like to share with the Trinity Hall community? If you have, you are invited to volunteer to run a workshop or session around a hobby or interest of yours. From crafting activities to dance, and from walks to photography, all ideas are welcome.
Student Discussion: community and learning at Trinity Hall
When: we will find a day and time that works for you.
Would you like participate in a focus group discussion to consider how at Trinity Hall, we might better enable students to:
- find a sense of community, connection and belonging
- develop as learners and build their academic competence
- adopt healthy habits
