The Trinity Hall Hesperides Literary and Arts Society are delighted to announce that their Annual Dinner will take place on Friday 7 March 2025. The dinner is open to all Trinity Hall alumni, and you are invited to bring a guest.
It will provide a wonderful opportunity for alumni to meet with current students, and engage with the flourishing arts scene in College. Prior to the dinner we will be joined by English TV producer Christopher Hall for a talk and Q&A.
The Society is also holding its inaugural Exhibition on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th March, which is free to attend and also open to alumni. Details regarding our exhibition and returning zine are attached below.

Speaker
Christopher Hall
Christopher Hall is an English TV producer who has produced notable dramas for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky. Son of Sir Peter Hall, founder of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and French actress and dancer Leslie Caron, Christopher began his career as an assistant director on films with David Hare, before working his way up through the grades to take on fully-fledged producer roles—starting in 1996 with the BAFTA and RTS award-winning The Final Passage. Christopher is known for his work on The Durrells (2016-2019), starring Keeley Hawes, a beloved ITV drama that captured the hearts of audiences by translating Gerald Durrell’s memoirs about his family’s time in Corfu to the screen.
He has worked with Jed Mecurio (Line of Duty, Bodyguard) twice: first in 2015, producing CRITICAL, a 13-part medical drama for Sky, and again on Bloodlands (2021-2022), a Northern Ireland-set police procedural starring James Nesbitt.
Most recently, Christopher produced a contemporary adaptation of Frederick Forsyth’s 1971 novel The Day of the Jackal for Sky/Peacock, starring Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch, which aired in November. With a career spanning three decades, he remains a leading figure in the British television industry and is excited to pass on his insight to the next generation of storytellers.
Hesperides are excited to announce our inaugural exhibition and return of our zine, The Crescent!
Our theme this year is ‘(dis)articulations’—exploring the presence and absence of expression in all its forms.
The exhibition will be held on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 March in Trinity Hall’s Bridgetower Room–perfectly coinciding with our Annual Society Dinner. It promises to be a brilliant showcase of written and visual art from members of the college and wider University. We invite you to enjoy our exhibition upon arrival at the College, before the Dinner begins.
In choosing this prompt, ‘(dis)articulations’, we wanted to provide something that invites a variety of interpretations, allowing creatives to express themselves in a large range of ways. While the full word ‘disarticulation’ typically has a more scientific meaning, the bracketed ‘(dis)’ places emphasis on ‘articulations’ themselves—with the aim of opening up the theme’s scope to allow a more textual artistic focus. Our principal interest is in how different writers and artists choose to articulate, and in their methodologies of expression.
Specific opening times and further details will be communicated before the event.
